AbyssalCraft, the most horror and hardest mod there is, you will encounter the most scary mobs that are out of this worls and they will creep behind you when you least expect it. This mod can be found in many modpacks like SevTech Ages, CrazyCraft, and more.
One of the first things you should do when you start your new world is to craft the Necronomicon. This will be used as a wiki so you don’ t have to go online everytime you want to know something about the mod.
It will also include a lot of item recipes so you will know what materials you will need to craft them. I suggest you keep this close in case you encounter anything suspicious so you can see what is it about.
In this mod there are two types of biomes where one mob is stronger than the other and you will die a lot. Even proffesional Minecraft players die a ton of times before defeating one boss. These biomes are the Darkland Biome and the Abyssal Wasteland.
The darkland biome is one of the biomes that you can find in the AbyssalCraft mod. These biomes are usually smaller than showed in the image below but sometimes they can be very large. These biomes have a type of grass that is purple-ish indigo and the leafs in the trees are the same colour.
The wood in this biome is very dark as expected and some logs even have some light cracks on them that shine purple, those are different and will be used for other things. As you walk in this biome you might also have see that there are ender particles random on the ground to accentuate the dark and horror theme.
Don’t worry because this is the easiest biome to come across in AbyssalCraft and has the weakest mobs. But can still one-shot you in full iron. The mobs in this area are very dark as the name of the biome implies and they are different sizes. The smaller ones give less damage while the larger ones are more OP.
At the same time the smaller mobs will drop smaller and less Shadow Gem Shards than the bigger ones. The really large ones can at times drop entire Shadow Gems. I suggest having at least some form of ranged attack in case you encounter some of the larger ones.
And if you are not prepared run away if you see a bigger one, they can be very powerful sometimes and kill you instantly and if they don’t kill you instantly they will give you slowness and blindness and will come and hit you from different sides so you don’t expect it. While you are here grab 16 gems because you will need them for the gateway key to get to the abyssal wastelands.
There is nothing much to say about this biome apart from the mos OP mobs and bosses in AbyssalCraft. Here you will encounter Depth Ghouls, Abyssal Zombies, Spectral Dragons, and Skeleton Goliaths. And these are just the normal mobs and nowhere near the power of the bosses.
Before you venture away from the portal I suggest you make a small base next to the portal so no mob can follow you in the overworld. In this world the only thing you dhould focus on is finding the portal to the Dreadlands. To make the Powerstone Trackers to find the portal and activate it are crafted with an eye of ender surrounded by Corallium Gems. The mechanics of the portal and finding it are the same as the vanilla Minecraft.
In this dimension the only think you can do is find structures and loot them and farm mobs. There are two types of giant golems that fight each other and will drop loot when they are killed. You can make an automated farm with these. There are many biomes here but be careful because in some of the biomes there can spawn bosses that are incredibly hard to kill and the Ender Dragon is no where near the power of these bosses.
I suggest you take a read in the necronomicon for information that is not displayed here and try to get prepared before you adventure to these biomes because they are way harder to go by than vanilla Minecraft mobs. Also get as much materials from these bioms since you might need them for other things and so that you don’t have to go back there to get other materials.
